Here at CT Cars we have a real passion for diagnostics, the more complex the better, our technicians are enthusiasts in this area of work, and we take great pride in what we do.

Our reception walls are filled with certificates from the constant training courses we attend. All our car technicians are trained to the highest standards to make sure your vehicle is diagnosed accurately and within a reasonable time frame. This will keep the costs down. Instead of guessing, we test, never replacing parts that are not required.

We have invested heavily in diagnostic equipment, which makes us one of the best equipped Volkswagen Independent garages.

Having the ability to use the dealer diagnostic equipment, puts us on a level footing with main dealers and gives us the ability to access detailed information like wiring diagrams, repair manuals, manufacturer technical bulletins, security information and digital service history to name a few.

We have Main Dealer tools for Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda. This means we can do the following:

The Vehicle Diagnostic Process

Firstly we will need to gather as much information as possible about the fault from you, the customer, this will help us replicate the fault, which in-turn will save you time without your car and money.

This can be carried out over the phone, if it’s found that the issue is more complex, it is possible then to book a slot to talk to one of our diagnostic technicians or come down and have a chat. We are willing to the time to go through everything in as much detail as possible.

The next step we will replicate the fault, if we cannot replicate the fault we will wait until the conditions are correct so that the fault will occur again, this takes patience and with the most information possible will help us carry this out quicker (for example, Only happens in the rain with a fully loaded car).

We then would proceed to carry out a complete scan of the control modules on your vehicle, check any serial data we need access to. We will then create a test plan for all possible causes in order to get your vehicle fixed, which would include accessing any technical bulletins and dealer information required.

Furthermore, we would then start testing, Which will ultimately enable us to correctly diagnose and confirm the fault or faults.

At the end of the process, you will receive a detailed diagnosis report written by the technician explaining all works undertaken.

When it comes to diagnostics, not everyone can diagnose competently. We consistently develop our technicians to make sure your vehicle is diagnosed accurately within a sensible amount of time. This will keep the labour and parts costs down.
